Our 4days Tanzania camping safari packages, specifically include the Serengeti National Park and the world famous Serengeti plains. It is one of our more popular safari tours and is most frequently booked as an add-on by Kilimanjaro climbers or Zanzibar divers. You will experience the excitement of an African wildlife safari to some of the most spectacular national game parks in East Africa, all teeming with wildlife animals.

This unforgettable tour will take you to the Serengeti Plains National Park, the heart of wild Africa and a massive wilderness of 14500 square km, where every day brings a new landscape and a new adventure. Apart from the Serengeti National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will also visit the Lake Manyara National Park. Safari Itinerary:

Day 1:Lake Manyara National Park – Mto wa Mbu

You will be picked up at your hotel and journey to the small, yet diverse, Lake Manyara National Park. The park, which stretches along the Rift Valley Escarpment, is named after the shallow alkaline Lake Manyara. The lake can be seen through a hue of pink, due to the large numbers of flamingos, seasonally flocking to its shores. The more than 400 species of birds make this park a bird lovers’ paradise and on any given day 100 different species can be observed. Apart from the avian inhabitants, giraffes, elephants, monkeys and antelopes can be spotted in the forest, acacia trees and grasslands. With a bit of luck you will be able to catch a glimpse of the famous tree-climbing lions, a somewhat uncommon trait for these large cats. After a thorough exploration of the park, you will leave and travel to the town of Mto wa Mbu, where you will spend the night on a campsite. Lunch; Dinner

Day 2: Mto wa Mbu – Serengeti National Park

Today you will set out on your journey through the lush highlands where corn, coffee and wheat grown, to travel to the Serengeti National Park. Serengeti, named by the indigenous Masai people, means “endless plains”, which is easy to see once the grassy Savannah stretches out before you with no end in sight. The landscape is dotted by kopjes, bizarre rock formations, on which predators often are found surveying the region in search of their prey. The Serengeti is home to the largest animal migration in the world and depending on the season you will be able to witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras trekking through the Serengeti and Masai Mara Game Reserve in search for food. In the late afternoon you will arrive at your campsite in the Seronera Valley, where you will stay the night. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 3: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area

After an early breakfast you will head out for another game drive in the Serengeti. You might be able to spot the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – before embarking on your journey to the Ngorongoro Crater. The animals roam freely through the unfenced reserves offering you an uninterrupted game viewing experience. Arriving at the edge of the crater you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite amount of animals. You will spend the night at a campsite directly on the crater’s edge with the orange glow of sunset surrounding you as you drift off to sleep. Breakfast; Lunch; Dinner

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast you will start your descent on a narrow and steep road to the crater floor. The crater is inhabited by a spectacular array of wildlife, which includes zebras, hippos, hyenas, wildebeests, warthogs and the famous “Big Five” – buffalo, rhino, lion, elephant and leopard. After extensive game viewing and a lunch at a picnic spot, you will leave the crater and travel back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.Breakfast; Lunch
